It is important to have your intruder alarm system serviced at least once a year.
Regular servicing of an alarm system ensures the system's reliability and durability.
Most insurance companies require evidence of alarm system installed and maintained by an approved company.
It makes sense and costs less to have regular alarm servicing rather than breakdown repairs.

What Alarm Servicing include?

Check history of alarm system since last maintenance service
Visual inspection of all major alarm components including cabling & connections where accessible for signs of deterioration or damage
Check mains power supply including charging rates
Check battery power supply including charging rates
Check and Walk Test all detectors
Check satisfactory operation of manually operated devices e.g. panic buttons
Check and test all audible warning devices, sirens and speakers.
Check and test remote signalling equipment (where appropriate)
Make adjustments as necessary
Repair any minor faults (where possible)
Retrain the users on the use of the alarm system (if required)
Log all test results
Return the alarm system to operational status

There has been advances in technology over the past 3 years that enables us to carry out one of the two maintenances remotely via the telephone network. Once the test is completed we will send you the report generated by the alarm computer software for your records. If there are any failures on the system we will send an estimate for the cost of the repair. This facility will be set up when the alarm system is commisioned, it also allows us to dial into the alarm if you report a fault and we can advise you on the process for repair.

Our maintenance packages start from £60.00 plus vat per annum.

Our call outs start from £35.00 plus vat which includes the first 30minutes on site, we will charge for parts over and above this, plus we can repair the majority of alarm systems on the market.

Ignite Fire and Security can takeover the majority of alarm systems on the market so if you think you are paying too much or are not happy with the service you are receiving from your current provider please contact us and we will be happy to arrange for a site survey to advise you on what type of package we can offer you.

All takeovers and new systems linked to the Alarm Receiveing Centre (ARC) for police response need to comply with current standards, we can advise you at the time of the security survey if the system meets the current standards.
